Marabella Palace Resort Interview

By Interviewer at 03/20/08 09:12
Philippines, Resort: Villa 1 and 2
Name of your website?

Marabella Palace Resort

Your name?

Bernadette Soriano

Your Location (city, etc)

Antipolo, City

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Marabella Palace Resort website was born out of passion in discovering things online. It was my first time to create a website, and i am sure glad i tried. Though it is bussiness website, i tried creating a personal website as you all can see, it was my way of letting people know that its fun scrolling evey pages, with bold pictures of the resort itself as the backgrounds as my way of showing our bussiness transparency "What you SEE, is What you GET"

What inspired you to launch your own website?

It was like, "today we are constructing the resort, tomorrow it was all up and running". I got caught in the reality of running a bussiness with no pre-advertisement or whatsoever. The hype of advertising it to as many people as it can be, was really the reason that made me sit and create a website, and launched it right away. The result was overwhelming, it was a self achievemnt of its kind. It was also the idea of putting together all my bits of knowledge that inspired me a lot.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

It was April 2006, 2 weeks after i started my creation. What was it is a bussiness website done with personal touch, devotion and imagination of an amateur website master.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The name marabella came from 2 words, MARA - for my little girls name, and BELLA for beautiful. Palace - from the meaning itself.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

We are offering a private and exclusive resort that is "HOME AWAY FROM HOME". All the amenities are picked for personal home used to make all the guests feel like its their own house. Cleanliness is what we gurantee, a friendly staffs to assist all the guests all the way, plus, THE MILLION DOLLAR OVERLOOKING VIEW OF METRO MANILA ANG LAGUNA DE BAY.

Very affordable price, and its worth every penny!

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

As long as Marabella Palace Resort is here, i will keep the website and do the upgrades every now and then for guests satisfaction.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It goes with categorizing my priority. And mine is God, family and the bussiness for that order.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Budget is not really the issue here, it's about passion to create something for a bussiness and yet seems like personal website. It is also about being creative, and putting my own ideas together.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I think this is not for me, because, my website for Marabella Palace Resort online advertisement. However, if i have a website of such, sure i can always try and push the button.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

No unexpected costs, as for headaches, i had few of them. It usually goes when i am encountering server problem, because i bought mine from demark base server provider owner. Other than that, everything is just as smooth as expected.

What has been your biggest challenge?

There's no more challenging then standing in the burning sun, under the rain shower for a construction that you never know anything about, not to mention running a bussiness that you doesn't have any knowledge of to begin with. At least, that just my opinion, it might be shallow to some, but that's just me.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Posting adds in forums, giving out brochures and through telephone inquiries. Word of mouth is one biggest way of our promotion too...

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I thought it will always consume my nights with only few hours of sleeps, because ones started, i cannot seem to stop putting together all the ideas that's in my mind. But, i think i overdone the assumption, because, i no longer sit almost the whole night to maintain my website, and really find it fun to do it over and over again.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have been running the website for 2 years, and i will keep as long as Marabella Palace Resort is here.

What is my website means to me?

It is my baby, my creation, and i will always devout my time to make it more better then the first, the second and so on...

What is your website address?

Marabella Palace Resort

I had been in this resort, first with my family and friends, the second time around with my officemates. It is really nice, worth recommending to others. Sabi nga nila, "di ka mapapahiya pag irecomommend mo sa iba".

Nice and friendly staffs and the place is miraculously clean and well maintained.

We rented 2 villas for 1 day 1 night for our company outing early March. I was the one incharged in looking for a place to stay, on the day of our swimming, my officemates and most especially my boss was so surprised when he saw it. "Super Ganda" daw!!! In fact, most of my officemates family came back in this resort already. They were so happy that i found this place because its very near in the city.

Very serene place to spend your summer outings with family, friends or officemates. The overlooking view is an added attraction.

I would say, their accomodation is A+ grade. Very Clean to every corner of their villa. The amenites included is a win win for their price. It surely worth recommending it to friends and relatives, even company gatherings and team buildings. We had our share of fun when we stayed in this place. We are very satisfied and will deffinetely come back.

My special thanks to Alex, their manager, for being a great help to us during our stay.

You have to really see it for yourself to appreciate the beauty of this place. Very clean, spacious rooms, big beds, clean and nice smelling sheets, very wholesome for the whole family, and it is really a private place to stay. Clean pools and very nice garden. Nice kitchen too, i enjoyed cooking for my family :), they have huge range stove, and you can actually bake with no extra charge, "sossy"!

For those who loves to sing, they have videoke and its for free, unlimited use. The view is what makes the place really worth staying escpecially during the night. Don't worry about sleeping, you will surely stay awake and enjoy your stay. If you have a lots of kids with you and you need extra mattress, "ask the employee on duty, i think they have this 4 extra mattress for free".

You can deffinetely recommend this to your balikbayans family, and they will surely love it! I know that, because my cuzzins whose having their vacation when we stayed in this resort loved it.

This place is superb!, it was like you are renting your own home. A thumbs up to their staffs too!

We rented the whole resort for my debut, and my guests just love the place. Its one of the best place to celebrate special occassions like this. You will deffinetely get the worth of what you have paid for. The view, yes the view! it will make you stay awake at night. It is so cool to do chit chatting the whole night, guess thats what we did after the party. Dipping in the pool, singing, eating and having more fun then we ever had.

Thanks Marabella for making my one special day a very memorable one! I will deffinetely come back!
