Almost 3 days ago, I went to Bohol for a conference. Bohol, lying in the center of the Visayas Region, is famous for its Chocolate Hills and their uber cute tarsiers!
Bohol is also the known of the world renown Chorale Group, The Loboc Childrens Choir which already won different prestigious awards both locally and internationally. Some their awards include
- National Musical Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA)
- National Champion Prize, 1993
- National Champion Prize, 1995
- National Champion Prize, 2001
- Europe and its Songs Festival 2003 - Barcelona, Spain, September 17 - 21, 2003
- First prize with a Gold Medal in the Children's Choir category
- The Europe and its Songs 2003 Cup - for having achieved the overall highest mark in all categories, surpassing the marks of twelve other international choirs.
The Loboc River, one of the most romantic places of all, is being run by the government and they put Dining Boats where some member of the choir plays while charting the wholeness of the river back and forth. Its really an spectacular scene dining by the river while a song is being played for you in a live performance. Most especially when this season of hearts is approaching.
I will post more of my documentary travel to Bohol in the coming entries.
