Buyandsellplus.com is a community where anyone gets a chance to sell and post ads for free. Through the Classifieds, users may choose to register their items as “Hotgrabs” where it can be seen on the front page of the site or “Featured” items which will be visible on selected category. Members can exchange items with other users using Trading Corner, sell items at the highest bidder on Auction or post an item you want, need or searching for on Looking For.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I want to help other people make money buy selling old stuff or things they don't need anymore by posting it online - free of charge. If people doesn't have money and they want to exchange things for free, then they can trade-in online, or they can bid their stuff to earn more money. If they're collecting or looking for a certain item, they can also advertise it for free.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This was the first website i have created and i still have 2 more to developed.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Since the forte of this site was doing the buy and sell, I've decided to name it in that sense, i put plus in addition because aside from buy and sell-- plus you can do other things like trading, auction, looking forward to and you can enjoy other cool stuffs we embedded in the site.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
We don't just offered people free advertisement, instead we would like them to enjoy making money and doing business.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
In due time, i would like to developed not only a site free of charge where people can do buy and sell but more on helping them have a secure way of doing business.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
This may take a while to fully established in the market but due in time I know it will be a success.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Even if i have unlimited budget, the business model would be the same the only difference is time. I could make it run fully impeded with all the features i have in mind in less than what I expect it to finish.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
yes, I am ready with that.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
basically right now more on maintenance and security of business flow.
What has been your biggest challenge?
perhaps during the development stage.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
where still in our infancy stage and right now where still experimenting different ways on how to promote our site.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Running a site is more challenging that just thinking about developing it.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
We've made a lot of improvements for the past 5 years now, and i keep it as long as people needs it.
