Have you heard of the "King Of The Fruits"? Then if you do, the fruit we are talking about here is the pride of Davao, the durian fruit. It is called as the King of the Fruits mainly because of its size and its look, and never forget about its contrasting smell and taste.
At first look, durian looks like a jack fruit, the only thing that is different is that durians have harder spikes, thats why harvesters of it wore hard helmets to avoid accidents. And the smell? I suggest you wear nose covers at first haha. But at the moment you had your first taste of it, you will surely exclaim, "Heaven!".
True, is it being exported to different parts of the world because of its great taste. It reaches part of US, Australia and even Europe. It has various products under its name, like candies, jams, sweet pastries and many more.
This is one of the things that famed Davao. Aside from being the largest city in the Philippines, Davao is also famous for its Orchids and Mt. Apo, the Philippines highest mountain. And some of the wildest rivers are here as well.
With these descriptions, you can now come to a conclusion that Davao is not just an ordinary city, its your ultimate place for all activities. Food, nature tripping, mountain climbing, water sports like white water rafting and more!
I've been to Davao for 3 times, but the thought of it always makes me wanna come back for more. The memories of traveling to Davao is definitely one of the best I had.
