What is the name of your Blog?

Greenphils: Think Green for the Philippine Environment

What is your name?

iva

Where are you from? (include country, state and/or city)

from the country of smiles, the Philippines

Please describe your blog

Greenphils is a blog for green-minded people. It's the blog people should visit if they wanna hear "positive" environment news about the Philippines... It's the site to check if you have no clue on what to do to help protect our big momma nature, cause of some really simple tips anybody would be able to do.

Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?

At first, it's just for fun, to alleviate boredom, and to have another outlet for insanity (unpublished articles, actually). But, as time goes by, I learned to love what I do, learn to realize that yeah, i could help people understand green stuff, and could help achieve world peace -- a better environment, I mean.

What do you blog the most about?

I blog most about thinking, breathing, talking, and living green.

What kind of blogs make you angry?

Nothing really, i love reading other people's thoughts... maybe if there's an anti-greenphils blog, taht would be it. kidding. :p

Give five of your best blogging tips.

No blog guru here, but I'd say:

1. Write to express and not to impress. Post the way you talk. People dont have time to get the dictionary to check on your highfallutin words. 2. Be truthful. Unless of course, you're into fiction. 3. And if you're into fiction, be oh soooo creative. Dont make us read your blog only to realize later that our kid brother could make up stories better than yours. 4. Make friends.. Answer your emails. It's best to keep in touch with fans (if you happen to have fans). 5. Be real. Dont create an identity not entirely your own. It's like the smeagol-gollum thing. You'd just get confused. Trapped between dreams and reality. Blogs may be your "my precious" but careful cause you dont wanna end up looking like gollum.

Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?

No, it was really just to kill boredom... But lately, Ive learned that people have been earning lots from blogging which excites me. I still have a lot to learn though, cause I have no clue as to how I could earn from blogs, except through adsense.

But, ff you could donate some cash, just send me an email. hahaha.

How long have you been blogging?

Was a blogger in 2004, but I stopped when my first domain, ashtraymix, expired. Then I re-entered the blogging scene with Greenphils last year.

What promotional techniques work best for you and why?

I use word of mouth, and try to promote it through friends who are in the environment sector, as well.

Enter your own question here

Could you please help me promote my blog by adding the Greenphils banner in your sites? Pretty please. :)
