Every last quarter of the year, tons of tourists around the world make their way to the Philippines to witness one of the most spectacular show on earth, the World Pyro Olympics. For a couple of years now, the event has been hosted by the Philippines.
But if you think the fireworks fun stops there, think again. This coming Feb. 14, another event, still part of the World Pyro Olympics, will make its debut. Everyone, make way for the 1st Philippine International Pyromusical Competition.
If you haven't got a date this coming Valentine's Day, why not just spend it watching this spectacular pyromusical event. It opens on Feb. 14, and will resume for the next 5 Sundays, eventually ending on the 14th of March. Each Sunday, two participating countries will perform an 18 minute fireworks musical display. It will be held at the Bay Area of SM Mall of Asia.
I'm not really sure about this but being the host, I think the Philippines will not be joining the competition, much like that of the Pyro Olympics. Instead, Platinum Fireworks, the Philippines' very own delegate to the event, will open and close the competition merely as an exhibition performance. However, the only confirmed exhibition performance is on the last day and it's not clear whether Platinum Fireworks' first performance will be part of the competition proper.
