The pond of Maria is a convent located in the heart of the bustling city of Cebu is the Visayas region of the Philippines. Millions of people visit the Pond Of Maria every year for spiritual healing. It became famous only last year when a crippled child accidentally fell on the pond, and a miracle happen, the girl was miraculously able to walk after that incident. From then on devotees and believers visit the pond from time to time to gather water for bathing and drinking. Reports said that hundreds of people have been healed off their illnesses and hundreds can testify of how great and true the pond is.
But local officials are alarmed of the recent news tat the pond is being used illegally. There are rules that you can only get a minimum amount of water for a week and you can go back next week for another. It is also included in the rules that the water must not be sell in any form. Buying and selling of the water from the pond is prohibited. But recent incidents leading to selling and buying of the said were found yesterday.
It is said that the water is being shipped form Cebu to Manila for those people who don't want to go the Cebu. The price for the said water is P2,500/gallon. To expensive. But they will endure the price just to have a taste of what miracle can do for them. But the local church release a statement yesterday that the water may not work if used illegally. That should warn them that making no effort to get the miracle is not advisable, they are just wasting money.
Although I am a believer of scientific things with basis, there nothing wrong with sympathizing to others who believed in it. After all, some disease are just on your mind. Believing you will be healed can be true if you have the determination.
