By Interviewer at 08/01/07 04:02

web interview Butuan City Colleges Medical Transcription Training Center Interview
Name of your website?

Butuan City Colleges Medical Transcription Training Center

Your name?

Jason Encabo

Your Location (city, etc)

Butuan City, Mindanao

What inspired you to launch your own website?

This sites is launched to promote the pioneer medical transcription training center in CARAGA Region, Philippines

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This is actually my firstime to launch a website.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The website name was based on the name of the institution where this course is offered.

Please give us a short summary of your website?

This site is launched to provide a forum for the takers, finishers, affiliates of this college/course and those who are interested to exchange ideas, opinions, learning, experiences and even for business purposes.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Of course, aside from being the first internet group of the school, this site would also offer opportunities for certified medical transcriptionist trained by the school to find clients.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Promote the training center and be able to find new clients for medical transcription

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The more clients and members of the site/group, the more it requires efforts for development and management.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Of course, I would have probably put-up my own website for this purpose and not just having a yahoo! group for more flexibility in terms of programming and development in the website and its members.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Well, I am not the only one moderating the group.Actually, this site is also supervised by the administration of the school. So, this means that if there would be unnaviodable further development in the membership of the group, the school has the full support to provide more moderators or managers of the website.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None, as of the moment. But furthermore, I expect to have headaches in promoting this website while ensuring the protection of privacy and integrity of the website and the school.

What has been your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge in this website is to ensure the protection of the files and integrity of the website/groups, or generally to preserve the respect to its intellectual property.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I think it would be through personal e-mail messages for invitation.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Haven't came to this yet as of the present.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Just a week.

How could our directory/blog help you in achieving the goals of your website?

I hope you would also extend assistance for us to promote our website periodically (as scheduled).

What is your website address?
