Rice Crisis Strikes in the Philippines

By criean at 05/05/08 17:13
Rice is life itself in Southeast Asia, and this year there is not enough to go around. Indonesia and the Philippines face the worst shortages, but wealthier Hong Kong and Singapore also are hard put to find supplies.Prices of commercial rice have raised to the limit wherein Filipinos can no longer afford.

It is said to be that they have their our own rice which they call NFA (National Food Authority) rice but it is still really not enough. Almost all of them must have to fall in line in order to have a kilo of rice. Very sad to know but there are lots of our brothers and sisters out there who badly needs our help. Let's all pray for them!
