Name of your website? Sea & Learn Development Center Your name? Cia Rabanal Your Location (city, etc) Pasig City Please give us a short summary of your website? Progessive Preschool in the Ortigas-Pasig area. Also offers summer classes, day care and tutorials. What inspired you to launch your own website? Went out of town and the only way we found a place to stay is through the internet. People often used the internet to get information, and i want them to know more about our school. When did you launch your first website, and what was it? Our school was is my first website, it finished developing it 2 weeks ago. How did you decide on a name for your website? Its the name of our school. What makes it different from other, similar offerings? The tuition is reasonable compared to other schools in our area. Our website is also very concrete and informative. What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?) Our goal is to inform parents that there is such school in their area and eventually appreciate and trust our school enough to enroll their children. How does your investment of time and money balance against your success? My priority are my children and i quantify my success on how great they turned out. I'm primarily a housewife and our school's goal is not to get rich off the children but to give good education to children. We strongly believe that, "education should be a right to every child and not a privilege. If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site? I'd probably get our own domain name If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand? Yes, i enjoy doing what im doing What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with? We had recently gotten permits from both city hall and barangay to put up our tarpaulins to advertise our school along Greenmeadows, it wasn't even up for a day and someone had taken it down, it's like we threw away Php10,000 + . What has been your biggest challenge? Dealing with the Government. What method has been most successful for promoting your website? Word of mouth, and femalenetwork.com gives me alot of hits. How has running your website differed from your expectations? It's not so hard, don't have much comments, its a small site. How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity? I've had it for 2 weeks, im planning to keep it up as long as our school is in business, its also for our students parents to check updates and calendars for the year.
