Roughly around 3 long years ago, I had a trip to Palawan to attend a sports conference. I was excited about the trip learning that it was declared as Philippines Cleanest place. It was also said that it is considered as the little Africa of the country because of the national parks there that lets the animals roam around the highlands with fences. While on the plane, I was amaze how beautiful the island look from above. Clear blue crystal waters abound the white sanded shores. The airport was nice, people welcomed us in a very warm manner.
We went straight to our hotel, a luxurious, spacious and state of the art room was given to us. A free internet service was also offered to us. And the food that they offer? Superb!
The next morning we waited for the taxi to tour us, thats one thing I don't like about Palawan, they do not have lots of taxis and vehicles. So the wait took us almost an hour. Finally, we were on our way to their uber famous butterfly garden. The garden boast in their big collection of dried and live butterflies of around hundreds or may even be thousands. The place is relatively small but is jam packed with eye candies.
The place was very romantic, they even have a lagoon in the middle. We were also given the chance to let the butterflies land on our palms. I so love it. They come in different colors and sizes. They look beautiful and stunning specially when different colored butterflies go together, its like a party of rainbow insects!
