Your Location (city, etc)

Please give us a short summary of your website?
My site is actually a personal photo blog all about the things around me. I post random entries and random pictures.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I am actually a frustrated photographer before. I am a nurse but is not happy with my profession. So when the opportunity to become a professional photographer knocked at my door, I immediately grabbed it. And I made the site to show the world I can also excel in this field.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched the site around October of this year. I launched it before going to Cebu to study photography.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I come up with the title easily. I don't actually know why but it's the first thing that comes to my mind when I decided to create a blog site. Maybe its because I want to connect the title with the site's content so I came up with Life In Lenses to emphasize that this is a photo blog.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
I guess what makes my site different from others is that I don't just focus the blog contents on myself, I also make notions for other issues. I don't bargain myself, I'm showing the world what I can offer.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My goal is just to keep the site alive for people to appreciate my works and also to use it as an online diary of myself. And to keep the people coming because they love my work is actually the greatest goal for me.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would change my site to an online portfolio. Where I can post my photos in a better way so I can showcase the world my skills and talents. I would put a blog page and a separate photo page to keep the site browsing more convenient.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
So far, I've experienced none. I'm having fun blogging and it makes me happy. I enjoy doing it. Its my passion, making sites, blogging, as well as taking photos.
What has been your biggest challenge?
The biggest challenged for me about building this site is updating it. Haha, really, I'm having a hard time posting new articles because of the busy schedule.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Blog hopping I guess. It's the same principle as "give a little love and it all comes back to you." Haha, I visit other peoples blog and they visit mine in return.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Its been there for almost 2 months now and I think its doing pretty well. I'll keep the site as long as I can. Even if I don't receive any comments anymore, I'll still keep the site alive.
