Name of your website?

Buhay Sosy sa U.S.

Your name?

Mammu.Pai

Your Location (city, etc)

Albany, NY

Please give us a short summary of your website?

It's about life in the US, tips on how to settle down, get along with others. It's about what to bring when a Pinoy decides to go to the US. It's about how some Pinoys cope with living in the US.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I needed advice and some answers when my family and I were recruited to go to the US, but didn't get a lot. The few that I got, only a handful were very useful and important. Only later did I learn that there were some things I ought to have done before coming to the US so that I wouldn't be faced with problems that would have been easily solved if I had just known them before I came here.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

It's just a blog and not a website. Launched in July 2007. The title is as indicated above.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Because of what people used to call me (and still call me among my friends here).

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I think mine is more intellectual and has very knowledgeable, verifiable, and practical facts.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Help other Pinoy immigrants as they make the transition and the move from the PHils. to the US.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I just started so I cannot say.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I'll be able to write more, and I'll be able to write everyday.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I think so.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None yet.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Reaching more people.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Submitting to websites like yours.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Can't say yet because I'm just new to this.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

One month. I'd like to keep at it as long as it's relevant and as long as I can

Do you want to emigrate wisely to the US?

Yes.

What is your website address?

Buhay Sosy sa U.S.
