Name of your website?

MDDFPI

Your name?

Angelita Linsag

Your Location (city, etc)

Quezon City

Please give us a short summary of your website?

This is a foundation that help poor people who want to own a public utility vehicle but they don't have the capacity to pay the big amount of downpayment to financing agency. Here with just only small amount they can own one within three years.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

So that more people will know of our site and for some to help us in the future for finacing our other projects.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Actually, i'm doing the design of our site since 2003, since my knowledge on html is limited i just launch the site only this end of August 2007.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Since it is the name of the FOundation we use it as our website name.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Our offering are for poor people who wants to have a decent source of income. Since this is a foundation we can asked for some donation either in kind or financial for us to help to our constituent and members.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

We really give the public utility vehicle to people who apply for a hulog boundary jeep, taxi, FX ( this are only sencond hand )after three years at a minimal amount per month. But next time we want to give brand new one if our resources is enough.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

We do give more of our time and money but we have not meet our success yet. That's why we are debt ridden already. There are lots of hindrance on this business first the rules and regulation of LTFRB, LTO and MMDA. Once the head of this 3 institutione change the policy change also. Our client cannot take this problem easy.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Maybe we can ask for donation from the rich country to help us in our endeavors.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I think so no, cause i am the only one who maintains our site and as i told you i'm not a web designer by profession. I just study this myself only, trial and error.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

In this business you have to faces a lot of headaches: 1. Police 2. MMDA 3. Government policies re transportation. All of this need money, but the government do nothing. Life for the poor people are hard already still the government make it harder for them.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Our biggest challenge if we can provide a decent source of income for our poop people. By giving them their source of income there will be no more bad people in our surroundings. Once they have a decent source of income they can provide for their families everyday needs like food, clothing, shelter, education and others.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Since i launce it only end of August 2007 i don't know yet what is the most successful way of promoting our website.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I don't know yet, because we don't received feedbacks yet from the communities.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

As long as we are here and fighting to survive the hasstle of doing business in the Philippines.

How can you help us get resources for our company and sites to survive?

For now we are only using the supersaver of the PLDt for our internet connection and we don't even have our own domain name. We only get free site from Cabanova. We survive our daily operation through help from people for their free time, cause we don't have yet that much money to pay full time employee. Can you help us to find donors for us to continue our goals. Can you email to me the edited interview?
