Name of your website?

HugePixels Interactive Network - Philippines Website Design, Web Hosting, Domain Name Registration

Your name?

Eugene Amador

Your Location (city, etc)

Paranaque City

Please give us a short summary of your website?

HugePixels is a FREELANCE Philippine based website design and development firm. We provide world-class website design, website redesign & other web/print solutions for clients throughout the Philippines and International.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Passion is the great motivator and the very reason why I launch HugePixels. It started as a hobby for some friends website and became an obsession that turns to profession :)

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Since I stopped for a long period of time and involved in Telecommunication industry; I really experienced a hard-time conceptualizing my own website but this doesn't stop me. HugePixels website was officially launched 2005 after numerous modification.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

HugePixels name derives from my nickname "Huge" and we all know that "Pixels" is the component of the image/graphics. However, my personal definition for Huge+Pixels is the internet itself which is Huge or big and consist of different information or website which is the pixels.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

My slogan will surely describe our uniqueness in the industry. "it's not just an image but your image"

HugePixels, don't just create image/website but we build your IMAGE, your looks and personality in the virtual highway.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

HugePixels is not yet fully marketing himself due to the fact that I'm still a freelancer. However, one of my priority goal due to increase of client is to go live in the industry by next year (2009).

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Time is really my serious battle due to my other work, money is doing ok but over-all I enjoy the job and I'm happy :)

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

This is going to be the best website in the www :)

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

It depends with the type of demands. I always make sure that I'm dealing with those demands that requires longer relationship. But I can definitely keep up :)

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Web Hosting (nothing more, nothing less) I think this is the major dilemma of many developers. Everybody can claim that they are the best host but there is no way that you can prove it unless you try. Reviews are sometimes deceiving and most of the time untrue.

What has been your biggest challenge?

To finished a big project within a week with my job at night :)

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Website like classifieds1000.com is one of the best tool to promote a website, next are the forums and other directories.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

My initial expectation is to provide my services for small business. It's not part of my dream that I will encounter big clients who will trust me. But GOD is truly good because these big corporation are presently part of my portfolio :)

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

HugePixels is now on its 3rd year growing and no plans of giving up sooner. I will keep this as long that I'm happy with what I'm doing and the rest of the job will be manage by my stock broker which is Jesus Christ :)
